LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL’S DIGEST
AB 713, as amended by Assembly Member Mullin California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018. The people of the State of California do enact as follows:
- Make available to consumers two or more designated methods for submitting requests for information including, at a minimum, a toll-free telephone number.
- Make the internet website available to consumers to submit requests for information
- Disclose and deliver the required information to a consumer free of charge within 45 days of receiving a verifiable consumer request from the consumer (assuming the request is a verifiable consumer request). The time period may be extended once by 45 days with consumer notice within 45 days.
